Farmland preservation advisory committee to meet

The Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund Advisory Committee will meet Monday, Oct. 14, to receive updates on the trust fund budget, updates on current grant cycles and review the upcoming grant cycle status. The committee will also discuss Voluntary Agricultural Districts and county farmland protection plans.


The committee advises the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services on the prioritization and allocation of trust funds, the development of criteria for awarding funds, program planning, and other areas for the growth and development of family farms in North Carolina.
