As Congress continues to work to reopen the federal government and enrollment in Obamacare begins, I took some time Monday to speak directly with residents of the 10th District via a telephone town hall meeting.  Obamacare and the government shutdown were the two most prominent topics throughout the discussion.

I heard from a number of different constituents who have been impacted by both the shutdown and Obamacare.  I would like to thank all those who took time out of their busy days to participate.
After Monday night's telephone town hall I headed over to the House floor for votes.  While there I had the opportunity to speak about what I learned from constituents during the town hall.  You can see my speech by clicking

Throughout the past few weeks I have heard from numerous constituents who have seen their insurance premiums increase substantially because of Obamacare.  This week I shared some of these examples during the Oversight and Government Reform Committee's hearing examining the IRS's role in the implementation of Obamacare.  You can watch video from my testimony by clicking
