Crop ratings show big improvement

Prices are mostly lower this morning, fueled by a big jump in corn and soybean conditions when USDA resumed its weekly crop ratings Monday. Increasing carryout estimates could make it harder for prices on next year’s crop to sustain current levels, much less rally, so growers should be recalibrating expectations for 2014.
