GENERAL: There were 5.7 days suitable for field work for the week ending November 3rd compared to 5.9 for the week ending October 27th. Statewide soil moisture levels were rated at 3% very short, 28% short, 65% adequate and 4% surplus. The state received some light precipitation across most counties this week and average temperatures were above normal. Average temperatures ranged from 54 to 65 degrees. Soybean and cotton conditions are rated as mostly fair to good. Wheat and oats plantings remain ahead of last year. Peanut harvest made great progress this week and surged ahead of historical averages.
