The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is sponsoring its 3rd Annual Food Business Conference Feb. 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the McKimmon Center.

The event is geared for food businesses, and will include presentations on using Google analytics to help market your business, understanding how to reach buyers to get your product on the shelf, using Facebook to market your business and building an online food business.

“Creating great food products is only part of being a successful food business. Effectively marketing them is just as important,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler. “This conference will focus on ways to improve your marketing efforts, and hopefully increase sales and product awareness.”

Registration is open to existing food businesses. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. No day-of walk-ins will be accepted due to catering requirements. The deadline to register is Feb. 17. The cost is $15. The agenda and registration form are available online at
