N.C. Pecan Growers Association to hold annual workshop, orchard tour Feb. 15

The N.C. Pecan Growers Association will hold its annual educational workshop and orchard tour Feb. 15 at Lu Mil Vineyard, located off N.C. Highway 87 in Dublin.


The meeting is open to pecan growers and those interested in learning more about pecan production in the state. Topics will include planting, production issues, tree spacing, and insect and disease management. The event also will include a tour and demonstrations at a nearby orchard.


Registration fee is $20 and includes lunch. Registration begins at 8 a.m. To pre-register or for more information, contact Laurie Wood with the N.C. Pecan Growers Association at 910-385-4570 or ncpecan@gmail.com.
