South Korea will accept certain levels of zilpaterol in beef from June, according to a report by Reuters quoting a government official.

Seoul banned the animal feed additive last year after finding traces in imports of U.S. beef.

Tyson Foods and then other U.S. packers had stopped using Merck & Co.’s brand Zilmax on fears it was causing cattle to arrive at slaughter unable to walk.
