Terry Van Duyn has won the special election to fill the unexpired term of the late Sen. Martin Nesbitt.The Asheville Citizen-Times reports (http://avlne.ws/1i5MW26 ) that 149 members of the Buncombe County Democratic Party executive committee chose Van Duyn on Thursday from a field of six candidates.
