Corn plantings up in South

 According to USDA’s latest weekly Crop Progress report most of the nation's corn was planted in the South.

Texas has the most planted with 57& of its crop in the ground as of April 13.  North Carolina comes in second with 20% planted.  NC had 25% planted the same time last year.  

For the entire US, 3% of corn was planted as compared to 2% for the same time last year.
