Local agricultural equipment dealer Ronnie Jackson of Clinton Truck and Tractor in Clinton, N.C. — a long-time supporter of the college’s agricultural research — recently provided the college with specialty equipment to enhance instruction of innovative technology in real-world settings. Clinton Truck and Tractor was a sponsor of Farm Animal Days in April, supplying a tractor onsite for the event.

The new CASE IH Puma 145 tractor will be used primarily for student instruction and research demonstration work at the Lake Wheeler Road Field Lab in Raleigh. The tractor’s features include a CVT transmission, full suspension front axle, electronic valves and a full RTK Guidance package.

This is the fourth tractor that Jackson and Clinton Truck and Tractor have provided to the college in support of agricultural research.
