Got to Be NC anniversary celebration campaign

Dear Commodity Association Partners:


Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the Got to Be NC marketing program and 30th anniversary of
Goodness Grows in North Carolina. In celebration of these milestones, the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will be launching a comprehensive 18-month marketing campaign under the tagline, “Grown. Raised. Caught. Made. Got to Be NC.” 


The new marketing campaign will reintroduce consumers, especially those who are new to our state, to the diversity of agricultural products available in North Carolina. I am pleased to announce that Governor Pat McCrory has officially proclaimed July 2014 as Got to Be NC Agriculture Month. This will serve as the official launch of the campaign.


During this 18 month celebration, we are encouraging all members and associations to utilize the Got to Be NC logo in advertising and special events. We will be conducting promotions with retail and foodservice partners during this time and it is important that we are all driving the same NC Ag Products message. In addition, we will be working with media and news outlets to spread this message, as well. A special portal is being created (in the next few days) on our website for the launce where you can download information and logos for your use at www.gottobenc.com/promotions/GRCM .

I encourage you to reach out to our Marketing Division and see how you can take part in the campaign as we celebrate North Carolina’s $78-billion agriculture industry.
