The North Carolina Mountain State Fair located in Fletcher, N.C., south of Asheville, is offering you two opportunities for participating in the Mountain State Fair, September 5-14, 2014.   If you are not familiar with the North Carolina Mountain State Fair, we are located south of Asheville, in the Western part of the State.  The five year average attendance is 177,624; last year’s attendance was 191,596.  

The Operating Hours are different than those in Raleigh.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Operating Hours are from 9:00am till 10:00pm.  Monday through Thursday the buildings open at 3:00 pm and close at 10:00pm except for the 2nd Sunday when the Fair closes at 9:00 pm.  

There are 10’x10’ booth spaces available in the Commercial Exhibits area.  The Marketing Division has representation as well as the Dairy, Pesticide and Standards Divisions.  Tables and chairs are included, however, they are not skirted.  You are responsible for bringing table cloths or other coverings.

     Opportunity 1 –Commitment Deadline: July 1  ¬¬¬¬¬¬     Product Deadline: August 15, 2014 

There will be one featured booth representing products grown and manufactured by members of Goodness Grows in NC program.  We encourage your company to be represented by providing a sample of your product.  Please provide 2 of each product you would like displayed by August 15, 2014.   You may include 2 samples of each variety.  If your product is perishable, please send empty containers or artificial product. The products will not be returned.  

The products will be on display throughout the week of the fair.   A daily drawing will be held and one gift bag will be awarded each day of the fair with products submitted.  Fifty or less brochures are acceptable. There is no cost for your product to be displayed.   You may participate by sending sample product and brochures only without reserving/ manning a booth.

      Opportunity 2 –      Deadline for Contract and Payment: July 1,2014

A limited number of booths are available for companies to offer samples and to sell their products.  You may choose to participate 5 or 10 days.  The dates are September 5-14, 2014, with the first 5 days including Sept. 5-9, 2014. The second 5 days of the fair are Sept. 10-14, 2014.  Only products grown/manufactured in NC may be sampled and sold in these booths.  The booth spaces will be 10’ x 10’ with pole and drape; 8 ft back and 3’ side drapery

Complete the application and return by July 1, 2014.  A contract will be sent after selection has occurred.
