The NCGOP 6th Congressional district chair, AJ Daoud, is pleased to announce that the Phil Berger, Jr. campaign and the Mark Walker campaign have agreed to a televised debate the evening of July 11, 2014.

“The NCGOP 6th Congressional district is proud to sponsor a debate that will be televised throughout the entire district and will allow the candidates to speak to the issues that matter most to the people of North Carolina’s 6th Congressional district.” Daoud said. “I’m looking forward to working with both campaigns and the staff at Time Warner Cable News to ensure a successful and informative discussion between Mark Walker and Phil Berger, Jr. in order to inform voters for upcoming elections.”

Time Warner Cable News is credited with the most extensive political coverage in the state of North Carolina, including the only nightly show dedicated to politics.  Capital Tonight Anchor, Tim Boyum, will moderate the hour long debate in studio. Recently, Mr. Boyum was named by the Washington Post as one of the most respected political reporters in North Carolina. The debate will be available to watch on Time Warner Cable News the evening of July 11, 2014 from 7:30pm – 8:30pm and via the News 14 website free of charge.
