FSIS seeks nominations for microbiology committee

USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service published in the federal register Tuesday a notice soliciting nominations for membership on the National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods.


FSIS is looking to fill seven vacancies on the panel. Members serve a two-year term, renewable for two consecutive terms.
The agency is looking for scientific experts as well as one member representing a consumer group.


The deadline for nominations is Aug. 7.
