Technical Service Providers (TSPs) are unable to register for and create an external account in USDA’s AgLearn web-based training system. This means a TSP will not be able to access AgLearn training courses, such as TSP Orientation and Conservation Planning course, as well as other required trainings being hosted on the site.

A TSP that needs to complete required trainings will need to contact the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) State Office in Raleigh at 919.873.2162 to request hardcopy training documentation and to receive credit for completed course work. TSP Certificates and credit will be given upon completed course work and review.

TSPs are individuals or businesses that have technical expertise in conservation planning and design for a variety of conservation activities. TSPs are hired by farmers, ranchers, private businesses, nonprofit organizations, or public agencies to provide these services on behalf of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).  Each certified TSP is listed on the NRCS TSPs online registry, TechReg.  The TSP registration and approval process involves required training and verification of essential education, knowledge, skills and abilities.

For more information on TSPs, becoming a TSP, and required trainings and certifications, please contact NRCS TSP Coordinator Sheila L. Scott at Sheila.Scott@nc.usda.gov, or at 919.873.2126.
