Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler and N.C. State University dean to discuss latest ag technology Aug. 6 at Tidewater Research Station

                       
WHO/WHAT:        The newest farming equipment and technology being added to the state’s 18 agricultural research stations will be discussed at the Blacklands Farm Managers meeting and tour. The importance of agricultural research and its role in meeting future food, fiber and fuel demands and the contributions of agriculture to the economy will be discussed by Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler and Richard Linton, dean of the N.C. State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

MORE INFO:  The new equipment and technology improvements have been purchased through a $2.5 million appropriation from the N.C. General Assembly in the 2013-2014 budget. This is the first phase of a two-year upgrade project totaling $5 million.
