N.C. agri-businesses are invited to apply to participate in a trade mission to Malaysia and the Philippines Oct 20-24.

Participants will meet one-on-one with trade representatives from Burma, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The mission will highlight certain sectors:

Malaysia: Dairy products certified halal, fresh fruit, nuts, general dry goods, and fresh and frozen potato products (halal)

Philippines:  Fresh vegetables (lettuce, celery, crucifer), processed fruits and vegetables, food and beverage ingredients, seafood products, and general dry goods including gourmet, healthy, natural, and organic products.

The U.S. exported $5 billion of agricultural products to these four countries in 2013.
