David Rouzer, candidate for North Carolina's 7th Congressional District, released the following statement today regarding the EPA's Proposed Rule which would expand the "Waters of the US" definition, essentially reclassifying the entire 7th District as a wetland.

"I urge the House and the Senate to move immediately to stop the EPA's proposed "Waters of the US" expansion, which could essentially classify the entire 7th District as a wetland, harming every business owner, farm family, and property owner in the Seventh District.

"This proposed rule expansion from the EPA is just one more example of government stupidity and overreach creating uncertainty and unnecessary burdens that will cost jobs."

The House of Representatives is expected to vote as early as today on The Waters of the United States Regulatory Overreach Protection Act (H.R. 5078), which would prohibit the EPA from moving forward with the rule.
