The Certified Humane program for livestock has expanded to Peru and Brazil, and the organization behind the program, Humane Farm Animal Care, also has made its smart phone app available in Portuguese, Spanish and French, the group said in a news release.

“The Certified Humane Brazil program has generated a lot of interest from consumers and producers alike," said Luiz Mazzon, the Director of South American Operations for HFAC.

The app uses GPS to identify nearby supermarkets offering Certified Humane products and displays them on an interactive map. To download it, go to the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android and search for Certified Humane. The Certified Humane program is endorsed by more than 66 humane organizations in the U.S. and Canada.
