Cost share programs for NC farmers

Three cost share programs funded by grants from the NC Tobacco Trust Fund Commission have opened their application cycles. In all programs, farmers must provide at least 10% of the total project cost with their own funds.
1. WNC AgOptions
- Grants up to $6,000
- Covers 22 western NC counties
- Deadline to apply is Nov. 21
- Applications can be found: www.wncagoptions.org
2. Ag Reinvestment Fund
- Grants up to $8,000
- Overseen by RAFI,
- Includes Alamance, Caswell, and Person counties.
- Deaedline to apply is Dec. 5
- Applications be found: www.rafiusa.org
3. NC AgVentures Fund
- Grants up to $15,000
- Open to farmers in Surry, Stokes, Rockingham, Yadkin,
and Forsyth counties
- Deadline to apply is Dec. 17
