Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) was elected Vice President of the Freshman Members of the Democratic Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives for the upcoming 114th Congress.  Congresswoman Adams made the following statement after being elected:

“I am honored that my Democratic colleagues elected me to serve as Vice President of the freshman class for the 114th Congress.  It is a great honor, but one that comes with much responsibility.  There are many challenges facing our nation and we have a lot of work to do.  I look forward to serving in this position and working with my Democratic and Republican colleagues to do the work the people elected us to do.”
