Representative-elect David Rouzer (NC-07) released the following statement today after being selected to serve on both the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure and the Committee on Agriculture for the 114th Congress:

“It will be an honor to serve on these two committees, which are vitally important to North Carolina.

"If we are going to get our economy humming again and create high paying jobs, we must find long-term solutions for building and repairing our roadways and bridges, for the dredging of our waterways and inlets, and for our beach nourishment and re-nourishment needs.  As a member of the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, I will be a strong advocate for improving and modernizing our highways and ports and protecting our beautiful coastal communities.

"It is equally important that North Carolina agriculture has a voice in Washington.  Representing the top agricultural district in the North Carolina Delegation, I look forward to serving all of North Carolina's farm families on the House Agriculture Committee."
