Ellmers statement on federal judge’s ruling to block the president’s actions on immigration

Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC-02) released the following statement after United States District Judge Andrew Hanen ordered an injunction to halt President Obama’s executive actions on immigration:
“President Obama’s unilateral, top-down approach to legislating on immigration is not Constitutional, and last night’s ruling only reiterates this fact. As we are a nation founded upon a system of checks and balances, it is my hope that Judge Hanen’s ruling reminds the president to work within his Constitutional bounds instead of working to bypass the will of the American people.”
