NC Ag Awareness Day is March 18 in Raleigh

Farmers, agribusiness professionals and others are coming to Raleigh March 18 to celebrate North Carolina Ag Awareness Day. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler wants to see agriculture and agribusiness become a $100 billion industry in the near future. The current economic impact is $78 billion. 


Activities will include visits with legislators and a rally on the Capitol Grounds featuring state leaders.

Ag Awareness Day Events
9 a.m. Welcome Center opens in Kerr Scott Building at the N.C. State Fairgrounds.
Shuttles to General Assembly begin.

9-11 a.m. Legislative office visits

11 a.m. Rally on Capitol Grounds
11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Bag lunches available
Noon-2 p.m. Legislative office visits
2 p.m. Legislative session
3 p.m. Last shuttle to the fairgrounds
