The Obama administration has recently announced a competition for a textile research grant worth $75 million in public funding.
The office of U.S. Rep. David Price, a Chapel Hill Democrat, said in a news release he was pleased by the Department of Defense's kickoff of the Revolutionary Fibers and Textiles Manufacturing Innovation Institute.
