There is a listening session planned about the possibility of developing an insurance program for catastrophic swine disease events.

The session will be March 24 from 3:30-5:30pm at the Lois G. Britt Agricultural Service Center in Kenansville and will be conducted by Agralytica, a food and agriculture consulting firm in Alexandria, Virginia.  Agralytica has been hired by USDA to conduct a feasibility study to evaluate the need for, and feasibility of, creating a new insurance plan.  This session is just one of many that will be held across the country.
