Enhancing Crops: The Traits and Techniques Driving Global Innovation
________________________________________
North Carolina is home to research that will provide the next breakthroughs in crop engineering.
You know the promise that new traits carry for crops: drought tolerance, the ability to withstand stress, even higher yields. With the approval of non-browning apples, attention is more focused on these and other benefits of applying technology to crops.

On April 8, we have put together a group of North Carolina researchers from BASF, Benson Hill Biosystems, Precision BioSciences and NC State University, who will share stories of their work in trait development and advanced crop engineering.

With three of the "Big Six" global seed biotech companies having major headquarters in the Dogwood State, North Carolina is a powerhouse for crop and trait development. Our portfolio of advanced gene editing technology companies is also leading the way with new approaches to safer and more efficient engineering of plant pathways.  So come learn more about the research that powers the AgBio[sphere], "North Carolina Grown, Globally Known".
