Pork processor margins still struggle despite cheap hogs

Even as hog prices have declined on increased supplies, pork packers are still struggling with poor margins, according to the Daily Livestock Report, published by Steve Meyer and Len Steiner Inc.


On reason is the decreasing value of byproducts including organ meats, bone meal and blood products for a variety of reasons.
