Here are details: 10:15 - 11:00 Planning for Emergency Mass-Depopulation of Swine in Response to a Foreign Animal Disease Outbreak Sponsored by: Pork Checkoff Mark Rice, North Carolina State University In the event of a foreign animal disease outbreak in the United States, a method for rapid on-farm swine mass-depopulation that meets American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) recommendations will be required. This session will present planning tools and the basic planning concepts for an on-farm system that can be assembled from readily available, low cost materials.
