After winning over members of Lumberton’s Planning Board, Sanderson Farms is another step closer to building a chick hatchery on N.C. 41. The City Council, heeding a unanimous recommendation from the Planning Board, voted Monday night to allow rezoning of a 12.88-acre lot near Snake Road to make way for the hatchery.
