Robeson County legislators say they are still hopeful that legislation will soon be passed that will exempt state taxes on admission tickets to agricultural fairs. According to Allen Faircloth, president of the Robeson Regional Fair Board, if legislation approved during the 2014 session and effective Jan. 1 had been in effect during last fall’s fair, it would have cost organizers of the Robeson fair $25,000.
