A farmers market has sprouted up in University City thanks to Carolinas HealthCare System-University.
Elaine Jones, clinical nutrition manager at the hospital, wants to expand the impact of healthy eating for those who work and live in the area. The hospital added a farmers market, which opened April 23, as an extension of a teaching garden that Jones started in 2012.
