The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), an industry-driven organization focused on advancing food safety management, is seeking stakeholders to participate in one of two technical working groups.

Applicants must apply by June 19 and must be able to participate in two meetings in person. The meetings are Sept. 15-16 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and March 3-4, 2016, in Berlin.

The first group, focused on food service/catering, will review and modify food safety and good manufacturing benchmark requirements and requires a one-year commitment. GFSI is seeking participants from food service/catering, retailers, manufacturers, accreditation/certification bodies, service providers and academia/regulatory.

A second group, requiring an 18-month commitment, is a regional outreach group that will develop a strategy for GFSI’s local group network involving key performance indicators and governance models. Positions are open for representatives from retailers, manufacturers, accreditation/certification bodies, service providers and academia/regulatory.
