A series of ads and a 44-page supplement will promote the state’s produce in two prominent trade publications in June.
Four ads promoting N.C. produce and the NCFreshLink.com website will appear in The Produce News, a bi-weekly and online publication covering the fresh produce industry. A 44-page supplement to The Packer will appear in June. The Packer covers fruit and vegetable news, produce shipping, distribution, packing, marketing and trends in fresh produce in North America.
Despite a cold and wet spring that delayed plantings on some vegetables, grower-shippers in North Carolina expect to bring typical supplies on most items, said Kevin Hardison, agricultural marketing specialist with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
