The N.C. Commercial Flower Growers Association is seeking 500 signatures to begin production of the “NC
Gardening” specialty license plate.

Nursery owners, landscapers and garden enthusiasts are encouraged to show their support for the state’s
green industry by applying for the specialty license plate online at www.nccfga.org. A $20 fee will be due at
sign up. There is an additional $30 fee collected by the DMV should you decide to personalize the text on your
plate.

Once 500 signatures have been obtained, the association will be able to petition the NC General Assembly to
put forth a bill authorizing the Division of Motor Vehicles to print these specialized plates. The association’s
goal is to collect the necessary signatures by Feb.15, 2016.

For more information about the license plate, or to learn more about the association, visit www.nccfga.org/.
You can also call the association’s executive director, Bonnie Holloman, at 919-607-1370.
