Now, the hard work begins. When Reynolds American of Winston-Salem formally acquires Greensboro-based Lorillard on Friday in a $27.4 billion deal, Reynolds will spin off several cigarette brands to a new company, ITG Brands, which is owned by Britain’s Imperial Tobacco Group.
