The state Golden LEAF Foundation has awarded $1.12 million to two Robeson County municipalities to pay water and sewer infrastructure needed to accommodate the needs of Sanderson Farms. The Mississippi-based poultry giant plans to build a chicken processing plant in St. Pauls and a chick hatchery in Lumberton.
