What the EU really thinks about GM crops and trade relations

The EU recently proposed a rule that allows its member states to make their own decision to accept or deny GM crops, if passed. Arūnas Vinčiūnas with the European Commission and Head of Cabinet with Health and Food Safety, says the member states couldn’t agree. It was never about the safety of the crops but about public perception:
