Bird flu outbreak in the Midwest affects North Carolina

North Carolina’s economy heavily depends on agriculture. With the bird flu affecting the Midwest, businesses in North Carolina are now starting to see an impact. So far, around 50 million birds have been affected by the virus. Darlene Brown, owner of the Brown’s Sweet Treats, told WNCT that she now has to shop around more than usual to find the best prices on eggs.
