Once again, the Supreme Court has gotten it wrong when it comes to Obamacare. Thursday's decision in the King vs. Burwell case dealt with subsidies available to those who receive Obamacare through federal exchanges. Regardless of Thursday's decision, Obamacare remains bad policy that drives up costs and reduces healthcare choices for Western North Carolina families. This year alone, Obamacare's premiums are expected to increase over 25% here in North Carolina. While this decision is a setback, rest assured that I remain committed to fully repealing and replacing Obamacare with real healthcare reform that brings down costs, improves care, and puts decisions in your hands, not those of an unelected, Washington bureaucrat.

Proud to Support
Again this week the House took action to repeal another of Obamacare's many bad ideas, the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). The IPAB is an unelected group of Washington bureaucrats tasked with making cuts to Medicare. The idea that we vest this power in a group that is not accountable to voters is yet another example of why Obamacare must go. I was proud to join a bipartisan majority in the House supporting passage of this week's legislation, H.R. 1190, the Protecting Seniors' Access to Medicare Act of 2015. Combined with last week's repeal of the Medical Device Tax this action highlights House Republicans commitment to taking Obamacare apart one piece at a time.
