The N.C. Board of Agriculture will hold its quarterly meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Martin Building at the State Fairgrounds. The meeting is open to the public. At the meeting, the board will consider proposed changes to rental rates for buildings at the State Fairgrounds. Other agenda items include a presentation from the Center for International Understanding on a global vision for North Carolina.
The Board of Agriculture is a policymaking body that adopts regulations for many of the programs administered by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Members are appointed by the governor. The commissioner of agriculture serves as chairman of the board.
