U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman announced 129 private-sector members to the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee and six Agricultural Technical Advisory Committees.

This group of committee members will serve until June 15, 2019, and will be supplemented by additional appointments over the next four years. Applications are encouraged at any time and will be reviewed periodically for additional appointments.

From the meat industry, the new members of the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee include: Carlos Ayala, Perdue Foods LLC; Devry Boughner, Cargill Inc.; Jon Caspers, National Pork Producers Council. On the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Trade in Animals and Animal Products, the new members include: Thad Lively, U.S. Meat Export Federation; Todd Menotti, Tyson Foods Inc.; Lisa Wallenda Picard, National Turkey Federation; and Dennis Stiffler, Mountain States Rosen.
