Burntshirt Vineyards was recently named North Carolina Winery of the Year by the New York International Wine Competition.
The competition, held in May, was judged by trade buyers — restaurateurs, wine sommeliers and retail wine buyers — and saw nearly 1000 entries from the U.S. and internationally, according to the competition website.
