Egg prices blowing up because of avian flu

Eggs are getting much more expensive — by the dozen and otherwise. The outbreak of avian flu caused the cost of eggs to nearly double last month for producers. Wholesale prices for chicken eggs jumped 84.5 percent in June, the Labor Department said Wednesday.
