The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will mark up legislation (S. 1500) this week introduced by Sens. Mike Crapo (R-ID) and Claire McCaskill (D-MO) that would remove the duplicative requirement that FIFRA-compliant pesticide applications in, over, or near water be permitted under the Clean Water Act’s NPDES permitting program.
