U.S. 70 work frustrates Johnston tobacco farmers

Complaints started rolling in to Johnston County Commissioners in the first week of roadwork on U.S. 70 east of Selma. This is the time of year when farmers haul tobacco, Chairman Tony Braswell said at Monday’s commissioners meeting, and they now face long detours because of the construction.
