There’s a new advocate for honeybees and beekeeping in these parts and his name, appropriately, is "B.” "B” Townes came to Wilkes County from Danville, Va., to work as Wilkes Community College’s horticulture instructor in the early 1970s and married Martha Ham of Boomer.
