Mills River protects its agricultural roots

In the early 1970s, a Dutch immigrant was searching for a place to start a new greenhouse venture.
Two critical things he needed were a good water supply and plenty of wintertime sunlight. That search brought him to Mills River, on a section of Haywood Road surrounded by cornfields and other farms.
