NCDA&CS export trips-deadlines approaching

 A trade mission will be held Oct. 22 before the start of the PMA Fresh Summit event in Atlanta, Ga., with one-on-one meetings with buyers from the retail and food service industry in Canada and Europe. The best products for this trade mission are: nuts, leafy greens, blueberries, sweet potatoes, corn, melons, Vidalia onions, citrus, cucumbers and tomatoes.
The participation fee is $25 and the deadline to register is Sept. 11. To register, complete the pre-qualification process by creating and/or logging into your account at www.susta.org. If you have any questions, contact Jacy Barnes at jacy.barnes@ncagr.gov or 919-707-3149.

Four importers are coming to North Carolina to meet one-on-one with specialty food producers. Meetings will be held in Concord Sept. 29 and Raleigh on Oct. 1. Cost is $10. Contact Jacy Barnes at jacy.barnes@ncagr.gov or 919-707-3149 for registration form. Registration deadline is Sept. 18.

Financial assistance is available to attend a horticulture trade show in Montreal, Canada, Oct. 28-30. Best prospects for this show are bulbs, cut flowers, ornamentals, live plants, foliage and tubers. Registration deadline is Sept. 11.
