The Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina were recently honored with the 2015 Partner in 4-H Award.  Representatives from AgCarolina Farm Credit, Cape Fear Farm Credit and Carolina Farm Credit were on hand to receive the award at the North Carolina 4-H Scholarship & Awards Reception held in Raleigh.

With over $3.5 billion in loans and commitments outstanding to over 14,500 North Carolina farmers, the Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina are the leading provider of credit to farmers in North Carolina. Loans are made to finance land, homes, farm buildings, operating expenses, livestock and equipment, as well as other purposes. Credit life insurance, crop insurance, appraisal services, and leasing are also available.  Farm Credit is an active supporter of many youth programs in the rural communities of the state.  During 2014, the three Farm Credit Associations gave more than $61,000 to 4-H across North Carolina.

“Being recognized as a 2015 Partner in 4-H is quite an honor.  We believe in the mission of 4-H because many of our employees and members benefitted greatly from the program.  Partnering with great organizations like 4-H is something we are committed to as we seek to champion the agricultural and rural communities of North Carolina” says Dave Corum, AgCarolina Farm Credit CEO.

AgCarolina Farm Credit is a farmer owned financial cooperative with headquarters in Raleigh. They are the leading provider of credit to farmers in central and eastern North Carolina.
